Step1

Extract the zip file and upload the folders urlmo_admin , urlmo_common , urlmo_html , urlmo_install , urlmo_images to your web accessible root path of your server... (This program is designed to run in the root or public_html directory).

upload the files .htaccess, go , visit , recommends to the same directory.

Step2

Create a MySQL database and add a user to it.
(You can watch a short video tutorial asbout this HERE)

Creating a new MySQL database is done through your webhost's account control panel. In some cases, if a control panel function for setting up an MySQL database is not provided, you may have to ask your webhost administrator to set one up for you.

Once you have successfully set up an MySQL database on your server, the details that you will need for installing Link Shrinker are the MySQL hostname, database name, database username, and password.

Step3

Give writable permission (CHMOD) 777 or 755 on some webhosts to urlmo_common/config.php

Note: Some FTP programs do not show the htaccess file once it is uploaded. You will need to find out how to turn on viewing hidden files. Many systems allow you to add the -la parameter to show the hidden files.

Step4

Run the installation at: http://yourdomain.com/urlmo_install/

(You will need the details of the database you created in step 2)

Step5

login to your admin control panel at: http://mywebsite.com/urlmo_admin/

Use:

Username: admin
Password: admin

(You should change your login details from your admin control panel...)
